Our story
Maxi View was founded in 1997 to solve a problem that the round stick-on mirrors of the day could not: every fixed-angle mirror points at the wrong place for most vehicles. A sedan, a pickup truck, a Sprinter van, and a Harley each have a different rear-quarter blind zone. A single fixed mirror angle cannot cover all of them.
Our founder, Harry Snegg, a US military veteran, developed and patented a 360° ball-and-swivel mount that lets the driver aim the mirror at the exact zone their vehicle leaves uncovered. We paired the mount with an optical-focus convex lens, treated the lens to eliminate headlight glare at night, and housed the assembly in chrome-plated nylon, lighter than die-cast metal, stronger than ABS plastic, and free of the high-frequency vibration that blurs glass-bodied mirrors at highway speed.
