Installation
How to install blind spot mirrors (step-by-step)
A six-step, 10-minute install for stick-on blind spot mirrors that survives car washes, road salt, and years of sun.
What you'll need
- Maxi View Blind Spot Mirror (pair)
- Alcohol wipe (included)
- Soft microfiber cloth
- 10 minutes, ideally in shade above 50°F
Step 1: Park in shade above 50°F
The 3M VHB adhesive on every Maxi View bonds best when the side mirror surface is at least 50°F and out of direct sun. If it is colder, warm the mirror surface with a hair dryer for 30 seconds.
Step 2: Clean the side mirror
Wipe the upper inside corner of each side mirror with the included alcohol wipe. Dry with a microfiber cloth. Any wax, polish, or road film prevents the VHB tape from bonding.
Step 3: Test-position without removing the backing
Sit in the driver's seat and hold the Maxi View in the upper inside corner of the side mirror. Tilt the ball-and-swivel until you can see the lane next to you. Mark the position if helpful.
Step 4: Apply
Peel the 3M VHB backing. Press the Maxi View firmly into the corner for 30 seconds. Even, sustained pressure beats brief hard pressure.
Step 5: Adjust
Sit in the driver's seat. Rotate the ball-and-swivel until the mirror shows the rear-quarter blind zone for your vehicle. Repeat on the other side. This is where Maxi View beats fixed-angle competitors, you aim it once and it stays aimed.
Step 6: Cure
Avoid car washes and high-pressure water for 24 hours. The adhesive reaches full strength after 72 hours and will hold for years.
What if I need to move it?

Maxi View sells a transfer kit with fresh 3M VHB tape so you can move your mirrors to a new vehicle without buying a new pair.
